Orchestral Ash?

My dear friend from Germany, Wolf Plante, reported in an email to me that we made history with a performance of a song from the latest Ash album, Elegant Stealth. Can't Go It Alone, was performed this time, by a rock orchestra - by the world famous Orso rock orchestra from Germany, no less. This is the biggest rock orchestra in the world, often performing with 120 musicians and a 60 person chorus. I met with their dynamic orchestra leader, Wolfgang Roese in Berlin recently and he and I spent some days working on arrangements of the Ash's music. Can't Go It Alone has obviously born fruition and 4,000 people at a concert last week, seem to have been mightily pleased and impressed by the Pat McManys song and the orchestra's performance. I wish I had been there to see and hear this!

It looks like Wishbone Ash might well be performing with Orso in Freiburg in December! More details will follow, should any fans wish to make the pilgrimage, to witness this historical event.

Wolf writes: Dear Andy!

Last Wednesday ORSO had the open-air gig in Ötigheim! As I was reported, it must have been unbelievable good! Round about 4000 enthusiastic people were standing finally on their seats and ... in between a WA Song: CGIA Now they know that WA will be on stage with us in December.

Best Regards Wolf
