Christmas greetings to one and all!
It’s been a busy year for Wishbone Ash as usual, and I’d just like to take a minute to thank the boys in the band and our crew members Daniel Vetter, Sean Dalton and John Galliard and my dear Pauline, for their exceptional professionalism and dedication to the cause. It certainly makes the going easy when your workmates are friendly, cheerful and thoughtful as we make our way through all the different countries we visit. I only hope I’ve been able to exhibit the same traits in return.
Then, of course, there are all our business partners and especially our friends and fans who help us in innumerable ways on the road. Whether by recommending new venues, helping with on the road deliveries or airport pick-ups or just simply being part of what I call our street team, you are all greatly appreciated.
Our usual touring pattern will be maintained in 2017 with the addition of a few extra dates in the UK during March, as we always used to do. I’m always exploring new possibilities and recently, Japan, Australia and Brazil came on line again. I’m hopeful we can bring some, or all of of those to fruition.
We wish you all a very Happy Christmas, hopefully spending time with loved ones. As for me, I’ll be doing the same, as well as snow shoveling, long walks in the countryside and some gym work outs in preparation for the upcoming German/Poland tour starting in January. It’s been a hell of a year with the passing of so many revered figures in the music world. Let’s hope for a calmer 2017.
In the meantime, the good ship Wishbone charts a steady course - See you all on the road somewhere.
