| Strange Affair- 1991 | |
With Strange Affair comes another personnel change. Founding member Steve Upton decided he'd rather manage a chateau in France for Miles Copeland than play in Wishbone Ash anymore. Filling in on drums are Robbie France and soon to be full time member, Ray Weston. The other quirk about this album is that I.R.S. Records in the U.S. never saw fit to release it over here. This is the one they should have released as it is the most commercial, without selling out, that the band ever recorded. "Wings Of Desire", "Strange Affair" and "Standing In The Rain" are out and out hit songs. I don't get it I.R.S., don't you listen to the product your artists record or are you just hoping that the Police will get back together for one more hit? |
