"Just Testing" would mark the end of an era for the Mark II line up as Martin Turner would quit the band not long after it's release. The end of an era, yes, but the end of the band, not hardly. "Just Testing" went on to become a gold record in the UK (the first since Argus) and did fairly well in the US. The additional writing & vocal credits of Claire Hammil helped define this album from the opening track, "Living Proof", to the closing notes of "Lifeline".
