| Illuminations - 1996 | |

With "Illuminations", probably their most-anticipated release to date,
Wishbone Ash has reached a new level of maturity. The album incorporates
all the elements of the past, and infuses them with a new level of sensibility.
The new band consists of Andy Powell, Roger Filgate, Tony Kishman & Mike
Sturgis, and they have produced better music than any configuration since
the original line-up.
The songs on this release, largely written by the team of Powell and
Filgate, are well-crafted and carefully thought out, and they retain that
classic "Harmony Guitar" style we love so well. The interplay between
Andy's guitar and Roger's is an absolute joy to listen to, while Tony's
vocals add a dimension missing for many years. Mike Sturgis on drums is
a human metronome, and the combination of the four is something that has
to be heard to be believed. In short, Ash fans, your many years of loyalty
are about to be amply repaid. Enjoy!
